Currently, Circle supports Wi-Fi network names (or, "SSIDs") and passwords with most special characters, as well as passwords up to 64 characters long. There are, however, a few unsupported characters:

  • Leading "whitespace" (i.e., a space before the first letter/number/special character)
  • Trailing "whitespace" (i.e., a space after the final letter/number/special character)
  • Non-English alphabetical characters

Whitespace in the middle of the SSID or password should be fine.

NOTE: Earlier versions of the Circle firmware did not support many special characters or lengths of over 50 characters for Wi-Fi names (SSIDs) or passwords. If you are running into issues and suspect that you may have an older Circle, please contact our support team.
